We know how tough it is out there. To help your application stand out and read more hireable, we're proud to partner with Work With Indies to host a monthly live resume and portfolio review on the first Saturday of each month.

Join us for concrete, actionable feedback from director-level industry leaders with real hiring experience. You can submit your resume and portfolio for feedback or just listen in and learn. This event is for game programmers of any level—students, juniors, seniors—everybody's welcome.

What you’ll get
  • Candid, actionable feedback from director-level industry leaders to improve your resume and portfolio

  • A sharper sense of what stands out, what gets ignored, and how to present your projects and impact clearly

  • Faster learning by watching other portfolios get reviewed and avoiding common mistakes

How it works

We invite 5–10 industry leaders and run parallel breakout rooms for live, one-on-one feedback. Each reviewer covers 4–5 portfolios, walks through what's working and what isn't, and gives clear next steps you can apply.

Want to submit for review?
Submissions close 3 days before the event; if you're selected, we’ll email you at least 24 hours beforehand.

Just want to listen and learn?
You can freely choose which breakout room to join during the session.

Who is it for

If you’d like to submit for review:
Game programmers of any level. If you’re a game designer, you’re welcome to submit too, but we’ll prioritize programmers for review slots.

If you want to listen in:
Everybody is welcome. There’s a ton of general resume/portfolio advice that’s valuable across roles, and you’ll learn faster by seeing real examples get reviewed live.

If you’re being reviewed

To respect the reviewers' time and help you get the most out of it, please arrive on time with your camera on.
